Buying turf
A standard piece of turf will cover approximately one square metre.
You can choose from several grades of turf depending on your project.
Meadow turf is suitable for grass verges / parkland etc, a traditional field turf; the grasses and sward composition will vary from field to field. It is hard wearing and strong in composition.
All Round Garden Turf ( TTS1) is a domestic turf and contains dwarf perennial ryegrass and is very hard wearing. A suitable use in most domestic and commercial landscape applications requiring turf to a given standard.
Premium Lawn Turf (TTS2) is a fine turf and contains grasses such as bents and fescues and is better for a showpiece garden or landscaping project.
(Remember to consider a drought-tolerant turf if you are in sheltered area with lower rainfall).
